For the past 80 years Southern Alberta has been involved in aviation / aerospace technology in one way or another

With world class academic institutions, aerospace industry leaders such as DeHavilland,  Boeing, Airbus, Prattt & Whitney among others, and government policies designed to encourage investment, we have the potential to be leaders in the field of aerospace design, engineering, manufacturing and testing.  This expertise in airframes, powerplants, materials and electronics will further support growth in other industries.  Spinoffs into renewable energy and automotive are virtually inevitable.
